Advocated for student housing to be recognised as critical housing infrastructure, successfully securing its inclusion on the European Commission’s policy agenda.

In 2024, at the Class Conference in Manchester; The Next Chapter, the student accommodation sector articulated a clear need for a unified voice and long-term strategy. This moment became the catalyst for shaping The Class Foundation’s 10-year vision.

Over the past 18 months, we have significantly expanded our strategic touchpoints, delivering a programme of research, roundtables, forums, and conferences designed to deepen collaboration and alignment across the sector.

This approach has strengthened our ability to demonstrate the value of student housing as an asset class, enable robust, evidence-based dialogue with policymakers, city leaders, and higher education institutions, and coordinate sector-wide ambitions at both national and European levels.
