EU and National Action Frameworks

What are the National Action Frameworks?

The National Action Frameworks (NAF) are a strategic initiative led by The Class Foundation designed to address the widespread and growing crisis of unmet demand for quality student housing across key European geographies, including the UK, Spain, Italy, and the Netherlands, as well as at the European Union level.

It recognises the currently fragmented landscapes within these regions and aims to overcome policy inaction by creating unified platforms for cross-sector collaboration between public authorities, private developers, investors, higher education institutions, and student representatives in each specific context.

The European Commission's recognition of student housing as a essential infrastructure for Europe’s competitiveness

"Capital, expertise, and demand are not the problem, fragmentation is. The EU can play a catalytic role by coordinating between Member States, national banks, and local authorities to unlock investment and accelerate delivery."
