Student Living Italy 2025

When?

We are thrilled to announce the Student Living Forum Italy, returning to Milan for the third consecutive year. Following the success of last year’s forum—praised for its collaborative spirit in bringing together universities and private sector leaders to explore shared goals—this year’s event will build on the learnings from previous editions to work towards collaborative, sector-wide strategies.

Join us as we once again convene a diverse group of stakeholders, from policy makers to investors, operators, and educational institutions, to help inform the development of a common Agenda for Change. Through site tours, workshop sessions, and thought leadership panels, we’ll reflect on the progress made and explore new approaches to keep working collectively towards the future of student living.

Italy’s student housing market is undergoing rapid transformation. Last year’s forum highlighted the importance of balancing affordability with quality, and enhancing the student experience through community-building initiatives. Insights from CBRE’s market report reveal tight PBSA supply across major cities, with Milan leading in pipeline developments but still facing demand far exceeding capacity. Italy’s student accommodation provision rate remains one of the lowest in Europe, underscoring the opportunity for growth while ensuring affordability and access.

Our discussions will also address findings from The Class Foundation’s latest Student Living Monitor, which highlighted the relationship between living conditions, well-being, and mental health. While Italian students scored slightly higher than their European peers, well-being challenges persist, especially for students from non-traditional backgrounds and those with financial concerns. Recommendations call for enhancing housing options, expanding mental health support, and fostering inclusive community programs.

Join us for another year of thoughtful discussion, dynamic sessions, and invaluable networking as we shape together the future of student living in Italy.
