The Future of Sustainability Dialogue

Future-proofing our cities seems to be on everyone's mind nowadays. This conversation brings together representatives from the Università degli Studi Roma Tre, Yugo, and CRM Students in addition to the former Deputy Mayor of Rome. We'll explore how various stakeholders can rally around the ethos of sustainable systems change, beyond simply ticking a few boxes for energy compliance and rolling out marketing 'greenspeak'.

As cities continue to evolve, how might we move from gentrification to regeneration, opening the door for students to play an integral part in the life of the city while operating within our planetary boundaries? Learn to leverage best-in-class innovations to build and operate cleaner, greener student properties and explore the latest operational and construction strategies being rolled out in our effort to combat the climate crisis.

Data Insight

As an emerging student housing market, Italy offers a blend of challenge, opportunity, and risk. While the challenge lies in bureaucratic barriers to build and invest in the country, opportunity can be found in meeting the housing needs of an ever-growing number of students who are drawn to Italy’s highly-reputed universities and vibrant cities. Support from Italian municipalities has a profound impact on the growth of the PBSA sector. The result is evident in Milan, where the city council embraced the importance of developing student housing options. Yet, other municipalities remain hesitant.  What’s holding them back? What needs to be done to change this? During this session, our expert from JLL will present a data-driven evaluation on the risks and opportunities within PBSA in Italy by highlighting facts, figures, and forecasts for the country's booming student housing sector.

What can investors, developers, and operators learn from the Italian sector, and what can Italy learn from other European university cities?
